Celebrating 70 years, International School Bangkok (ISB) has a long and successful history, starting as the International Children’s Center on the grounds of the U.S. Embassy in 1951.
Located in the community of Nichada Thani, about 20 kms outside of the downtown Bangkok core, ISB is 26 minutes away from Chatuchak Market and 39 minutes far away from the Royal Grand Palace.
With exceptional facilities, ISB caters a wide range of programs and interests. From state-of-the-art athletics facilities to professional-grade performance art theaters, design and robotics labs, visual art labs, libraries, and more, it ensures that there is something for everyone at ISB.
ISB offers an inclusive and challenging international curriculum, accredited by the US and authorized by the International Baccalaureate (IB). Students in the High School can choose from the High School Personal Choice Diploma, the IB Diploma, and rigorous AP courses, all designed to prepare them for university study. At ISB, students taking the Personal Choice Diploma are available to take individual IB subjects and earn IB Certificates. Students who take the full IB Diploma attend all sessions to help them fulfill the IB Diploma Core and receive guidance through the college seminars.
Graduates at ISB have reached the next step of their higher education with the acceptance of prestigious universities from Asia, Europe, Canada, UK and US. With the 2020-2021 academic year alone, ISB can guide its students with the acceptance from prestigious universities from 21 countries, including Dartmouth College, Brown University, New York University, Berklee College of Music.
